Q. What kind of commitment do I need to make?
A. The length of commitment will depend on your time, interests and the needs of our organization. On average, volunteers give one to three hours a week. To maintain a consistent program, we ask you to make an initial three-month commitment as a volunteer.
Q. How do I become a volunteer?
A. To set up an appointment for an interview, contact a Volunteer Specialist (or call 541-484-5316). You will receive an overview of Birth To Three programs and services, a tour of the facility and hear specifics about volunteer opportunities. We will match your interests and available time to our needs in a way that proves mutually beneficial. You will be asked to provide references, and all volunteers working with children and families receive a criminal background check. Download the Complete Volunteer Application (PDF Format).
Q. What are the advantages of being a Birth To Three volunteer?
A. You will make a positive difference in the lives of families right here in our community. 400 volunteers a year can contribute 5,000+ hours and save Birth To Three more than $80,000 that can be applied to direct services!
Plus, you will meet and join a team of amazing people; fulfill your class or program requirements; and have the opportunity to share your skills, learn new ones and explore new areas of interest.
